ARTIST`S STATEMENT:

Art is how I express myself best. Art is my Life and Art for me means the greatest form of creative expression. My journey with art began as a child, but for a greater understanding I decided to get formal training at the Government College of Art, Kolkata. After graduating in 1990,I began my journey in the world of paint, canvas and brush. Greatly influenced and being a part of the Bengal School. I have found my niche with watercolour and charcoal. Charcoal , I think gives greatest transparency to a picture. It is a medium that breathes life on to the canvas. My work depicts the marshlands and landscape of Bengal. I try to end the search for that perfect world in my paintings.
